Dave Julian is a widely-published photographer, illustrator and educator known for his style which has been awarded by The Art Director’s Club of NY, the Society of New Design and Society of Publication Design. With origins in the natural sciences and conservation documentary projects, portions of his work blends science with imaginative storytelling using photomontage.
His publications include New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Baltimore Sun, Nikon World, Islands, Conde Nast Traveller, Rangefinder, Audubon, After Capture, Digital Photo Pro as well as books and podcasts for the arts. He discovered his passion for teaching in 2001, leads destination workshops and mentors individuals seeking professional artistic growth. He is adjunct faculty at University of Washington and Seattle Central Creative Academy and represented by Corbis Images. His documentary series “Taken From The Heart” has been included at NOMA and The Center for Photographic Art in Carmel, CA.
