This workshop offers foundation level training in Audio Post Production for TV and film.

Audio Post Production is the general term for all stages of production happening between the actual recording on location or in a studio and the completion of a master recording. It involves Field Recording, Production Dialogue Editing, ADR, Sound Design, Foley recording, & Music Editing and Mixing (re-recording).

This workshop offers a unique opportunity to develop the professional skills required to work in this exciting area of the industry.

When students have completed this workshop,  they will be able to:

Walter Clissen

Sound Designer- Post Production Audio Engineer- Live Mixer
Walter has 25+ years of experience in all aspects of the audio world. Born in Belgium and working in venues all over Europe, he moved to Los Angeles, CA in 1988. His sound designs and post-production work have been heard internationally. His
recent work includes sound mixing and sound designing “Dreadful Sorry” directed by Robert Richmond and sound design for Theatre and Opera houses (e.g.  L.A.’s Center for Bilingual Arts, La Mama ETC New York City, PCPA Theaterfest SantaMaria-Solvang CA,  Romanian National Theatre,
Cluj, Romania, The Flanders Opera Belgium and Stephen Schwartz’s new musical “My Fairy Tale”). He co-composed and sound designed the new musical for screen adaptation “Seven Stars in Paradise”.
He received his BFA/MFA from the Higher Institute of Theatre and Culture Spreading in Brussels, Europe. 
He taught several audio courses, workshops and lectures in Europe –Amsterdam, School of the Arts, UK-The University of Kent, at UCLA, CSU Fresno, Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, CA.  He presented papers at the Prague Quadrennial in 2011 in Prague and is a Specialist member for the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications.  He previously held professor positions at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ and at the University of South Carolina, SC. He is currently Associate Professor in audio engineering, live sound technology and audio post production at the New England School of Communications, Husson University in Maine.
