Class meets 10:30am-3pm ET

This is a workshop to learn about the anthotype technique, and the history, practice, preparation and formulas for making images with plants. We’ll demonstrate how to make slurries, cover which plants are faster in exposure, discuss John Herschel, spinach, Japonica, beets and marigolds! Learn about the tools and approaches to this exotic, low tech, process that you can do at home in the kitchen sink! This is a great workshop for learning a technique suitable for the home and wonderful for teachers to bring to their classrooms. Demonstrations + troubleshooting for the printer – how to set up your darkroom, and ample time for dynamic Q&A. You can work alongside Brenton or absorb the lessons for use later on.

NOTE: Students who wish to practice these techniques at home during the virtual instruction should expect to make an additional purchase of Lab Materials (list provided by Brenton) for $75.
