Continue to explore the connection between the landscape and memories through history, mythology, and personal narratives.

There are no available registration dates at this time.

Note: This class will be held in a live, online format using the Zoom Platform.
Class meets for 5 Wednesdays, Mar 6, 13, 20, 27 & Apr 3 from 1:30-5pm ET.

This workshop is a continued study of the many ways we may work as visual anthropologists, using the medium of photography, to reveal and suggest the layered histories of land and place.

There will be weekly lectures to generate approaches to exploring and representing history as evidenced in the landscape.  We will consider geological, cultural, and personal history, as some of the possible topics discussed. Students will share work from the assignments in weekly critiques.

This workshop is offered as a continuation for those who have previously taken Memories & the Land though that is not a requirement. This workshop is also good for photographers working in the landscape genre or working on a long-term project and seeking feedback to help push the project ahead. Students can also take Memories & the Land III: Project Development for photographers immersed in long-term personal projects seeking constructive feedback to propel their work forward.
